{"id":14778,"date":"2021-04-01T08:27:36","date_gmt":"2021-04-01T07:27:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anakena.de\/?p=14778"},"modified":"2025-12-13T08:09:32","modified_gmt":"2025-12-13T07:09:32","slug":"a-piece-of-easter-island-in-stuttgart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anakena.de\/en\/ein-stueckchen-osterinsel-in-stuttgart\/","title":{"rendered":"A piece of Easter Island in Stuttgart"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Santiago de Chile Square Viewpoint in Stuttgart<\/p>\n<p>The square - actually more of a small park - is located opposite the Haigstkirche and offers one of the most beautiful views Stuttgart has to offer.<\/p>\n<p>On the initiative of the Chilean Consulate in Stuttgart, in particular the Honorary Consul and architect Georg Kieferle, the square \"Auf dem Haigst\" was renamed \"Santiago de Chile Square\" in 2006.<\/p>\n<p>He also donated the Chilean figurines: a moai from Easter Island, the bust of Chilean literature Nobel laureate Gabriela Mistral and a memorial stone from the Maipo Valley in Chile. Here, an approximately 2-meter Moai sculpture - otherwise native to Easter Island in the South Pacific - was created by the well-known island artist Benedicto \"Bene\" Tuki Pate.<\/p>\n<p>By the way, in Chile there is also a counterpart to Stuttgart's Santiago de Chile Square: on the \"Plaza Stuttgart\" in Santiago de Chile there are three sculptures of the Stuttgart R\u00f6ssle.<\/p>\n<p>We think it's a very nice idea, many cities in the world could connect with such a rich cultural exchange.<br \/><br \/><\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 1080px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-14778-1\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1080\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/anakena.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/LAKL7090.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/anakena.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/LAKL7090.mp4\">https:\/\/anakena.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/LAKL7090.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Der Aussichtspunkt Santiago-de-Chile-Platz in Stuttgart Der Platz &#8211; eigentlich eher ein kleiner Park &#8211; liegt gegen\u00fcber der Haigstkirche und bietet einen der sch\u00f6nsten Blicke, die Stuttgart zu bieten hat.
