Como tantas marcas del sector de la alimentaci\u00f3n y la cosm\u00e9tica, Anakena naci\u00f3 en la mesa de la cocina de casa. En mi caso, est\u00e1 en mi casa de campo en Isla de Pascua, donde vivo desde hace 20 a\u00f1os. Con hierbas, flores y ra\u00edces de mi huerto ecol\u00f3gico, hice jabones artesanales y m\u00e1s tarde muchos otros productos cosm\u00e9ticos. Cada vez m\u00e1s, as\u00ed que abr\u00ed una tienda ecol\u00f3gica en la plaza del pueblo de Isla de Pascua, y all\u00ed vend\u00ed mi propia marca \"Anakena\" junto a otros productos (comprados). La demanda fue tan grande que pronto hice producir \"Anakena - Cosm\u00e9tica Natural\" por un fabricante contratado en Santiago de Chile.
