Le mono\u00ef de Tahiti est la premi\u00e8re mati\u00e8re premi\u00e8re cosm\u00e9tique \u00e0 avoir obtenu une appellation d'origine prot\u00e9g\u00e9e. Ce label atteste de la qualit\u00e9 de la fabrication, de la s\u00e9lection des ingr\u00e9dients et de leur origine polyn\u00e9sienne.<\/p>

\u201e Appellation d\u2019Origine \u201c \u2013 les r\u00e8gles de production<\/h2>

Les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s particuli\u00e8res du Mono\u00ef de Tahiti ont \u00e9t\u00e9 officiellement reconnues le 1er avril 1992 par le d\u00e9cret n\u00b0 92-340 sous le statut d'appellation d'origine contr\u00f4l\u00e9e ; depuis lors, ce nom est un gage d'authenticit\u00e9 et de qualit\u00e9.<\/p>

Seuls les produits fabriqu\u00e9s en Polyn\u00e9sie fran\u00e7aise selon des proc\u00e9d\u00e9s strictement d\u00e9finis peuvent porter cette appellation : l'huile de coco est issue de noix m\u00fbres du cocotier (Cocos nucifera), qui pousse sur des sols d'origine corallienne en Polyn\u00e9sie fran\u00e7aise.<\/p>

On utilise exclusivement Boutons floraux du tiar\u00e9 de Tahiti (Gardenia taitensis)<\/span><\/a> d'origine polyn\u00e9sienne, qui sont transform\u00e9s au plus tard le lendemain de la r\u00e9colte.<\/p>

Pour un litre d'huile de coco raffin\u00e9e, il faut au moins dix fleurs de tiar\u00e9, qui mac\u00e8rent dans l'huile pendant au moins dix jours.<\/p>

La teneur en mono\u00ef de Tahiti est indiqu\u00e9e sur nos \u00e9tiquettes. Dans la liste des ingr\u00e9dients, on trouve les appellations \u201e Cocos nucifera (coconut) oil \u201c et \u201e Gardenia taitensis flower extract \u201c.<\/p>
