Dans notre billet du 17 ao\u00fbt, nous avions parl\u00e9 du TAPU ou TABU , un concept tr\u00e8s ancien dans les cultures polyn\u00e9siennes, d'un syst\u00e8me de restrictions ou d'interdictions introduit par le chef de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9, c'est-\u00e0-dire les chefs de clan.<\/div>\n

Depuis la pand\u00e9mie, ce mot a encore pris une grande importance sur l'\u00eele de P\u00e2ques. Depuis environ cinq mois, aucun avion de ligne ne vient plus sur l'\u00eele et la population vivant \u00e0 Rapa Nui est soumise \u00e0 de nombreux \"tapus\" : des restrictions telles que l'interdiction de se r\u00e9unir, le couvre-feu nocturne et, comme chez nous, des mesures d'hygi\u00e8ne et le port obligatoire du masque.<\/div>\n

Ces tapu sont command\u00e9s par le gouvernement et le maire de l'\u00eele, et sont accept\u00e9s par la population locale.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

L'\u00eele a donc r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 \u00eatre exempte de Corona pendant de nombreux mois. Il y a actuellement 4 cas, des personnes qui ont apport\u00e9 la maladie avec elles lors d'un voyage aller-retour pr\u00e9vu entre le continent et l'\u00eele au d\u00e9but du mois de septembre.<\/div>\n

On ne sait pas encore quand l'\u00eele sera rouverte au tourisme, qui a repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 pendant des ann\u00e9es jusqu'\u00e0 90% des revenus \u00e9conomiques de l'\u00eele de P\u00e2ques. Il y a de profonds changements dans la petite communaut\u00e9 insulaire et, bien s\u00fbr, de graves cons\u00e9quences \u00e9conomiques. Heureusement, le gouvernement chilien donne de l'argent et la communaut\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 en mesure de cr\u00e9er des emplois de sorte qu'il y a des rempla\u00e7ants pour environ 350 locaux pour joindre les deux bouts jusqu'\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, malgr\u00e9 leur perte normale de travail et de revenu.<\/div>\n
