Il fatto che la popolazione indigena abbia vissuto cos\u00ec a lungo in completo isolamento su questa piccola isola in mezzo all'Oceano Pacifico del Sud, significa che dovevano essere anche esperti di medicina naturale. Quello che hanno mangiato \u00e8 stato studiato. Dove e come hanno coltivato, anche. Si sa molto anche dei loro tatuaggi. I \"vestiti\" erano principalmente fatti di mahute, la corteccia dell'arbusto Broussonetia papyrifera, e di piume. La kiea, un'argilla che si trova in un'ampia variet\u00e0 di sfumature sull'isola, era usata, tra l'altro, per la pittura del corpo.<\/p>\n
