We have had our skin and hair oil Monoï de Tahiti checked again by our safety assessor from the point of view of whether the oil is also suitable for infants and young children (0-3 years).
Our monoï oil Anakena meets all requirements, and may be used for / by babies. The product is fantastic for baby massages.
We are very pleased that we can now officially announce that our Monoï de Tahiti may also be used for newborns and infants. Because we are so convinced of the wonderful properties of this product for young children, this step was particularly important to us.
Cosmetic products are regulated in Germany by the Foodstuffs and Consumer Goods Act and the Cosmetics Ordinance, and in the European Union by the EC Cosmetics Directive. These legal regulations already contain a large number of requirements that are specifically intended to ensure the safety of those cosmetic products that are intended for babies and young children. These include, for example, special substance regulations (prohibitions and restrictions on use) as well as instructions for use and warnings. However, the special responsibility of the cosmetics industry towards this target group is also reflected in a series of additional voluntary measures that accompany the development and manufacture of products right through to the final compatibility test. It goes without saying that we take all statutory regulations very seriously.
