After a few days of reflection on our experience at the Cosmoprof North America Las Vegas 2024 (July 23-25), we are full of gratitude for the new opportunities and valuable contacts we were able to make with industry professionals during this important beauty trade fair. Cosmoprof is one of the most important trade fairs for the beauty industry worldwide, attracting trade visitors from various sectors.
Our visit to this renowned trade fair was a significant milestone for us. We were part of a ProChile-trade mission that supports Chilean companies in global markets. As a representative of our Anakena brand, our Chilean company "Rapa Nui Natural Products®" gain valuable insights and make important contacts in the beauty industry.
At "Cosmopack", we discovered inspiring packaging solutions and potential suppliers for our upcoming product launches.
Interestingly, we found that the market for natural cosmetics in the USA is still at an early stage of development. How can we capitalize on the opportunities in this emerging market? The limited awareness within the American beauty industry and population for sustainability and natural products presents both challenges and opportunities. At Anakena® - Natural Cosmetics, we will focus on introducing our ECOCERT COSMOS NATURAL certified products to the US market by partnering with like-minded B2B partners where the green community and niche brand enthusiasts are already present.
We attended a talk by "CosmoTalks" that focused on the FDA's new MoCRA (Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act) resolutions. Our extensive study on this topic for market entry and what we learned in this talk made us aware of a surprising lack of regulation in the US market, even with the introduction of new laws, and how this affects consumers of beauty products.
Enriched with many new experiences and learnings, we are more determined than ever to expand our presence and introduce our unique Polynesian beauty products to the US market. We are exploring the possibility of participating in the German Pavilion at the Cosmoprof trade show in Miami, Florida in January 2025 to showcase Anakena and make new B2B collaborations.
