Anakena was born - like so many brands in the food and cosmetics sector - at the kitchen table at home. In my case, this is in my cottage on Easter Island, where I have lived for 20 years. With herbs, flowers and roots from my organic garden I made handmade soaps and later many other cosmetic products. It became more and more, so I opened an organic store at the village square on Easter Island, and sold there my own brand "Anakena" among other (bought-in) products. The demand was so great that I soon had "Anakena - Natural Cosmetics" produced by a contract manufacturer in Santiago de Chile. In 2017, we launched in Germany (with certified natural cosmetics, the products in Chile are not the same). And here we are!
