Rapa Nui

The Natukrosmetik brand ANAKENA was founded on Easter Island. Rapa Nui - as the island is actually called - is an isolated volcanic island in the heart of the South Pacific, halfway between Tahiti and South America. The first inhabitants were Polynesians, who settled the island around 700 AD and whose belief system led to the production of the stone statues - called moai - for which Easter Island is so well known today.
