Anakena - Natural Cosmetics was created on the Easter Island (Rapa Nui), the most remote inhabited island in the world. In the middle of the Pacific, surrounded by the endless ocean - the "vai moana" (sea), as the locals say - we have integrated the power of the sea and the abundance of island vegetation into our products.
Guavas represent Easter Island in a unique way. They grow wild all over the island - both in the single village of Hanga Roa and scattered all over the island. It is said that if you eat a guava, you will return to the island. These two elements - sea and guava - form the heart of our natural cosmetics.
Our main ingredients
Guava extract (Psidium guajava fruit extract)
The Psidium guajava fruit extract is a miracle of nature for your skin:

The red algae Chondrus crispusalso known as Irish moss, is a multi-talent for the skin. With a content of up to 90% polysaccharides (multiple sugars), it forms a protective, moisture-binding film on the skin. Rich in minerals such as iodine, calcium, magnesium and trace elements, it deeply nourishes the skin. The essential amino acids it contains support collagen and elastin production, while polyphenols and carotenoids (plant pigments) provide antioxidant protection against oxidative stress.
