The small tiare is a delicate white and very fragrant gardenia, the symbol of French Polynesia. The local importance of this flower is high, as it is used in many traditional natural aromas, as well as in perfumes and for making the typical leis - necklaces or flower wreaths - or put behind the ear as "jewelry".
