Tiare Tahiti

Gardenia Tahitensis

This precious flower, known for its beguiling aroma, is traditionally macerated in refined coconut oil to obtain the wonderful Monoï de Tahiti oil.

The Tiare Tahiti flower grows on a shrub that is native to the coral- and volcano-rich soils of French Polynesia. Its fragrance, reminiscent of jasmine, makes it a symbol of Polynesian culture. The delicate white and intensely fragrant gardenia is not only an essential ingredient in the famous Monoï oil, many traditional natural remedies and perfumes, but is also central to the production of typical leis - flower necklaces or wreaths. Traditionally, it is also placed behind the ear as decorative "jewelry".

In accordance with the regulation on the designation of origin, the flowers are harvested at the bud stage and processed within 24 hours. This heritage of Polynesian tradition makes Monoï de Tahiti Anakena a precious oil made exclusively from the unique ingredients of the French Polynesian islands.

Can be found in the following products: Monoï de Tahiti, Face cream and Anakena body lotion.
